The picture depicts the boats at the Channel # 2 bridge in the back bayou of Cedar Key. Cedar Key is a small fishing village on Florida’s Gulf Coast in the Big Bend area about ten miles south of the mouth of the Suwannee River. The islands that make up Cedar Key, were created by the sand which flows out of the Suwannee. The back bayou is a shallow basin where many of the small boats are kept because it is well protected from storms. Since there are no bridges from this bayou out to the Gulf of Mexico, some larger sailing vessels also harbor in the bayou. The boats you see in this print are there today waiting for their captains to take a cruise or head out to the fishing ground. But you can place this little picture on the wall and dream about heading out there also. This numbered limited edition giclee print is $ 25. Free Shipping and is signed by the artist (me, Mike Segal) and is printed with permanent inks on 8.5 in. x 11 in. acid free paper. It comes hand-mounted in our studio by Marvi, in an 11 in. x 14 in. acid free white Bainbridge® mat on an 11 in. x 14 in. foam core backing board. The window opening on the mat is 7.5 in. x 9.5 in. This print is ready to frame in a standard 11 in. x 14 in. frame. |
