Seahorse Key Lighthouse

The painting depicts the lighthouse on Seahorse Key, Florida built in 1854 and was in service until 1915. It is located about four miles offshore from Cedar Key, Florida. Today the University of Florida in Gainesville operates the lighthouse as a center for marine biology research, and it is a national wildlife refuge. Many of the local Pelicans nest on the island, which is close to fishing grounds in the Gulf of Mexico. It is the oldest lighthouse still standing on Florida’s west coast. This numbered limited edition giclee print is $ 25. Free Shipping and is signed by the artist (me, Mike Segal) and is printed with permanent inks on 8.5 in. x 11 in. acid free paper. It comes hand-mounted in our studio by Marvi, in an 11 in. x 14 in. acid free white Bainbridge® mat on an 11 in. x 14 in. foam core backing board. The window opening on the mat is 7.5 in. x 9.5 in.
