The sketch for the painting,"Cedar Cove Marina" was made in 1995. The island in the distance is Atsena Otie Key which means"Cedar Key" in Timukuan.It was the original Cedar Key until a hurricane leveled the island in the early 1800's. It was then moved to the mainland.
