The original Sketch for the High Springs painting was made in 1996. I had a studio in downtown High Springs, Florida in the early to mid 90's. Since then, Marvi and I moved to Chiefland, 50 miles west in 1996. The building in the background is the old opera house in High Springs. It was reopened in the 1980's as "The Great Outdoors" store and cafe which is a wonderful place to have a good meal and buy a kayak.
