Joseph
and the Coat of Many Colors (Genesis 37:12-36) was sketched
in 1990. The story seems too sad to have eventually been painted
with such lively colors. However, I see the story as one of the
most hopeful in the Bible. If it were not for this sad event then
Joseph would not have been in a position as Grand Vizear of Egypt
to sell grain to Jacob's family during the famine. Without that
grain, Israel's (Jacob's) family would have perished. |
